What you get
- One vertical 720p MP4 per generation, sized for Reels, TikTok and Shorts placements that send traffic to your store
- Narration in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch or Brazilian Portuguese, one language per generation
- A lifestyle, spotlight or seasonal angle, so one packshot can become several test creatives
- A scene plan you approve before the credits are spent
How it works
1. Choose a product-only photo
Upload one photo of the product on its own. It guides the shape, colours and packaging in every generated scene. Photos with people are not used as references.
2. Describe the ad and choose a language
Name the product, add the claims you can support, and pick one of seven narration languages. Choose a lifestyle, launch or seasonal angle.
3. Review the scene plan before generation
Reelry writes four scenes with narration and optional headlines. You approve or edit the plan first. Generation then costs 2 credits, covered by the $4 entry pack.
4. Download the finished 720p MP4
The result is a vertical MP4 sized for Reels, TikTok and Shorts. Check label detail, anatomy and product interactions before publishing, as AI imagery can vary.
Good fit
- Stores that test several hooks per product before scaling spend on the winner
- Skincare, supplements, food and drink, accessories and home goods with a clean packshot
- Localising one product ad into several languages without a reshoot
Not a fit
- Amazon Sponsored Brands video, which accepts 16:9 only. Reelry's output is vertical.
- Claims that need visible proof of the real product performing, such as fit, texture or assembly. Film that on a phone instead.
- Customer testimonials. An AI actor can deliver a scripted message, but it must not be presented as a real customer's experience.
- Ads that depend on readable on-screen text, exact UI or third-party brands. Cinematic generation forbids generated typography and de-brands protected marks.
- Ads longer than about 32 seconds or with more than four scenes.
Why start from the packshot
Shopify stores already own the one asset generated video needs: a clear photo of the product alone. In Reelry's product-ad workflow that photo is the reference for shape, colours and packaging, while the settings, actors and camera moves are generated to match your brief. You do not install an app or connect the store; you upload the photo and describe the ad.
Video sells on the product page as well as in feeds: in Salsify's 2026 consumer research cited by Shopify, 61% of shoppers say product images and videos are the most important product page element when completing a purchase, and Wyzowl reports 63% of consumers would rather watch a short video to learn about a product. Generated ads are a way to have that video for every SKU, not only the bestseller.
What to put in the brief
Name the product exactly as it appears on the packaging. State the one claim the ad should make and only claims you can support on the product page. Name the setting you want, for example a kitchen counter at breakfast or a gym bag, and whether adult actors should appear. Leave out prices and discounts: generated typography is switched off, so those belong in the ad copy, not the video.
Testing creatives without a shoot
Each generation costs 2 credits. Running the same product through the lifestyle, spotlight and seasonal angles gives three distinct creatives for the price of one creator brief, which platforms list from about $100 per video. Keep the winning angle, then film the real demonstration for that one if the claim needs physical proof.
Instagram Reels ad requirements (Meta)
| Aspect ratio | 9:16 |
|---|---|
| Recommended resolution | 1440 x 2560 px; minimum width 500 px for videos of 30 s or longer |
| Length | 0 s to 15 min |
| Files | MP4 or MOV, H.264, up to 4 GB |
| Safe zone | keep text and logos at least 14% from the top, 35% from the bottom and 6% from each side |
Reelry's 720 x 1280 MP4 clears the minimum width and the format. Optional headlines are placed inside the safe zone; Meta's recommended resolution is higher than Reelry's output.

Example brief
Product: Meadow Oat Body Lotion, 250 ml pump bottle. Claim: fragrance-free and absorbs in under a minute. Show an adult applying it after a shower in a bright bathroom, one close-up of the pump, and a closing hero shot of the bottle on a marble shelf.
Angle to pick: Lifestyle story. Feed ads for consumer products perform on a use moment, not a static hero. Use Product spotlight for a launch.

Questions
Do I need to install anything in Shopify?
No. Reelry never connects to your store. You upload a product photo, describe the ad, review the plan and download the MP4, then upload it to Meta or TikTok Ads Manager yourself.
Can the video show a price or a discount code?
No. Cinematic generation forbids generated on-screen text, and only short reviewed headlines can be added. Put prices and codes in the ad's primary text and headline fields instead.
Will it work for Amazon Sponsored Brands too?
Not as-is. Amazon's Sponsored Brands video accepts 16:9 only, at 1280 x 720, 1920 x 1080 or 3840 x 2160, between 6 and 45 seconds. Reelry produces vertical 9:16 video for Meta, TikTok and Shorts.
What does one ad cost?
2 credits per generation. The $4 one-time pack covers the first ad; there is no subscription requirement. Plans exist for stores generating several ads a month.
How accurate is the product in the video?
The photo guides shape, colours and packaging and the plan keeps the product recognisable. Fine label text and small details can drift, so check the finished MP4 before spending on it.
