Bring one clean listing photo. Reelry generates a four-scene ad with narration for social placements that send buyers to your shop. Etsy listing videos have their own limits, stated below.

What you get
- One vertical 720p MP4 of about 25 to 32 seconds with narration, for Reels, TikTok, Shorts and Pinterest video pins
- Scenes generated around your item: a maker's bench, a gift moment, a detail shot, a closing hero
- A plan you approve before generation
- Narration in one of seven languages
How it works
1. Choose a product-only photo
Upload one photo of the product on its own. It guides the shape, colours and packaging in every generated scene. Photos with people are not used as references.
2. Describe the ad and choose a language
Name the product, add the claims you can support, and pick one of seven narration languages. Choose a lifestyle, launch or seasonal angle.
3. Review the scene plan before generation
Reelry writes four scenes with narration and optional headlines. You approve or edit the plan first. Generation then costs 2 credits, covered by the $4 entry pack.
4. Download the finished 720p MP4
The result is a vertical MP4 sized for Reels, TikTok and Shorts. Check label detail, anatomy and product interactions before publishing, as AI imagery can vary.
Good fit
- Handmade and small-batch goods with one strong photo: candles, ceramics, jewellery, prints, textiles
- Sellers running Meta or Pinterest ads to their shop who have never had video
- Seasonal collections that need a gift-moment ad in time for the season
Not a fit
- Etsy listing videos as-is. Etsy accepts 3 to 15 seconds and removes audio; Reelry's ad is 25 to 32 seconds with narration. Trim the first 15 seconds in any phone editor if you also want a listing video.
- Claims that need visible proof of the real product performing, such as fit, texture or assembly. Film that on a phone instead.
- Customer testimonials. An AI actor can deliver a scripted message, but it must not be presented as a real customer's experience.
- Ads that depend on readable on-screen text, exact UI or third-party brands. Cinematic generation forbids generated typography and de-brands protected marks.
- Ads longer than about 32 seconds or with more than four scenes.
Two different videos: listing video and ad
Etsy's listing video plays silently on the listing page and is capped at 15 seconds. An ad on Instagram, TikTok or Pinterest is the opposite: it needs a hook, a voice and a reason to tap through. Reelry makes the second kind. The listing video is still worth adding; a trimmed, muted cut of the generated ad's first scenes works, because those scenes were planned as an establishing shot and a detail shot.
What generated scenes can and cannot show about handmade work
Generated scenes can place your item in a setting, show it being unwrapped or used, and end on a hero shot that matches the listing photo. They cannot show your actual hands making it, your workshop, or the real texture up close. If craft process is the selling point, film that on your phone and use the generated ad for the gift and lifestyle angle. Never describe generated scenes as footage of your studio.
Writing the brief for a handmade item
Name the item and material as the listing does, for example a hand-poured soy candle in an amber jar. Say who it is for and the occasion. Ask for one detail shot that matches your photo. Keep claims to what the listing already states. Personalisation text cannot be rendered legibly, so show the item, not the engraving.
Etsy listing video requirements, for comparison
| Length | 3 to 15 seconds |
|---|---|
| Audio | removed by Etsy on upload |
| Size and resolution | up to 100 MB; minimum 500 px, at least 1080 px recommended |
| Aspect ratio | between 2:1 and 1:2 |
| Per listing | up to 2 videos |
Reelry's ad is longer than 15 seconds and narrated, so it is made for social ads, not the listing page. A trimmed 15-second cut fits the listing limits; Etsy mutes it anyway.

Example brief
Product: hand-poured soy candle, amber glass jar, 220 g, cedar and fig scent. For: a housewarming gift. Show an adult lighting it on a windowsill at dusk, one close-up of the jar label, and a closing hero shot of the jar in gift tissue.
Angle to pick: Seasonal campaign. Etsy buying peaks around gifting occasions; the seasonal angle builds a gift moment. Use Lifestyle story outside the season.

Questions
Can I upload the generated ad as my Etsy listing video?
Not the full ad. Etsy listing videos are 3 to 15 seconds and play without sound. Trim the generated ad to its first 15 seconds in any editor if you want a listing video; the ad itself is for Instagram, TikTok, Shorts or Pinterest.
Will the video show my real workshop or hands?
No. The scenes are generated around your item photo. They can show the item in a setting and being used or gifted, but not your actual process. Film process shots on your phone.
Can it render a personalised name or engraving?
No. Generated typography is switched off because it comes out garbled. Show the item; describe the personalisation in the ad copy.
What does one ad cost?
2 credits per generation, covered by the $4 one-time pack. Further ads use credits. Creator-made UGC on the platforms we checked starts around $100 per video.
Which photo should I use?
The cleanest photo of the item alone, ideally on a plain background, with any label readable. Photos with people are rejected by the reference screen.
