Content policy and moderation

Reelry helps adults create short videos, fictional scenes, educational stories and product ads from their ideas and materials they have the right to use. Examples include an ad for your own product, a narrated story with fictional characters, or a reel assembled from your own photos.

Generated people are fictional actors. Reelry does not support recreating an identifiable real person's likeness or generating a new performance of that person. This includes celebrities, politicians, influencers and private individuals. Ordinary, non-sexual fictional family or childhood scenes are not categorically prohibited. Child exploitation, sexualization and other harmful or illegal uses are prohibited.

Our Terms of Service, section 8 govern acceptable use. In particular, you must not use Reelry for:

• Illegal, sexually explicit, exploitative or abusive material, including sexual exploitation of children or non-consensual sexual content.
• Threats, harassment, defamation or content that facilitates harm.
• Generating identifiable real-person likenesses or performances, including those of celebrities, politicians, influencers or private individuals; impersonation, deceptive synthetic performances, fake endorsements, or misrepresentation of identity or affiliation. Reelry does not offer face swapping or personal voice cloning.
• Infringement of copyright, trademarks, privacy or likeness rights. Only upload and use photos, products, logos, music, voices and other materials you are entitled to use. A public image is not automatically licensed.
• Spam, deceptive advertising, or synthetic content that impersonates news reporting.
• Regulated medical, legal or financial advice presented as authoritative without the qualifications and disclosures required in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Content that violates the applicable rules of the service, generation provider, payment provider or destination platform, or attempts to bypass safeguards.

Commercial use remains subject to those rights and rules. AI generation does not establish ownership of a third-party brand, image, voice or character.

• Real-person depiction: Cinematic planning instructions prohibit real-person likenesses and direct the planner to use original fictional actors or generic illustrative scenes. A real person may be named in lawful factual discussion or narration without generating their likeness, cloning their voice, or presenting a fabricated performance or endorsement. These planning instructions and provider safety filters are not an exhaustive identity-recognition system.
• Uploaded images: supported upload and reference workflows use automated image screening for adult, violent and highly sexualized content. Rejected images are not admitted for generation. If screening is unavailable, the upload must be retried rather than bypassing the check. Severe adult-content flags can suspend workspace creation access pending review.
• Photos of people: a detected person is not accepted as a Cinematic product reference. Photo scenes is the supported alternative: it keeps the source photograph and can add camera movement, narration and text, rather than generating a new performance of that person. This is use of an existing source photograph, not an exception allowing a generated lookalike. You still need the right to use the photograph and likeness.
• Prompts and scripts: screening rejects detected explicit sexual requests. Generation providers also apply their own safety restrictions and may refuse a request. Supplemental text-classifier unavailability is recorded as unscreened; it is not treated as a successful safety check.
• Workspace restrictions: suspended or deletion-pending workspaces cannot use creation workflows. Reports and severe flags can lead to investigation, content restrictions or account suspension under the Terms.

Automated checks can miss violations and can reject legitimate material. We do not claim that every prompt, output, identity or copyright issue is automatically detected, that every output receives human review, or that a generated video is legally cleared for every use. We do not operate a universal fact-checking or copyright-clearance system.

Customers must review the finished reel before publishing. Check factual and advertising claims, permissions, product accuracy, identity, and the destination platform's requirements. Advisory writing and visual-quality checks help identify issues such as incomplete narration or character drift; these observations are separate from safety restrictions and do not themselves block generation.

For disclosure and signed provenance information, see AI transparency. A provenance record describes how a file was produced; it does not certify the truth of its claims, copyright clearance or policy compliance.

Use the report control on a public shared reel, or email support@reelry.app with the reel URL or ID, the issue, and any relevant information about your rights or permissions. Send legal notices to the same support address. Please do not email illegal imagery.

If you believe an upload rejection or account restriction is mistaken, contact support with the displayed message and your workspace or reel reference. We can review the evidence and the restriction. A report or classifier flag is not, by itself, a final finding of wrongdoing.

Review may result in no action, a request for more information, restriction or removal of public content, or account suspension or termination as provided in the Terms. Payment and refund matters are handled separately under the Refund Policy. Our Privacy Policy explains personal-data handling.
