Transcript

They found edible honey in an Egyptian tomb — 3,000 years old. Most food rots because bacteria and mold need moisture to survive. Here's the part nobody expects — honey has almost no free water in it at all. It's also highly acidic, and bees add an enzyme that slowly releases hydrogen peroxide — a natural antimicrobial. Keep it sealed and away from moisture, and honey may genuinely last forever — crystallization is normal, not spoilage. Follow along — there's a lot more wild food science where that came from.
