Transcript

Parts of the ocean are running out of oxygen. Fertiliser runs off farms into rivers, feeding massive algae blooms. When that algae dies and decays, bacteria consume all the oxygen — and marine life suffocates. There are now over 700 known dead zones worldwide — and they've roughly doubled since the 1960s. Follow along — there's so much more to learn about our oceans.
